Konstantinos V. Katsaros, Ph.D., is leading the Intelligent Networks & Services sector at I-SENSE / ICCS NTUA (Greece). His R&I agenda includes management & orchestration (M&O) of Federated Learning workloads, incl. drift management aspects, the support of MLOps and Distributed ML-as-a-Service in B5G/6G networks, Extreme Edge Computing and Predictive QoS in Automotive Environments. Previously, he held a Senior Researcher position at Intracom S.A. Telecom Solutions (Greece), and Research Associate positions at University College London (UK) and Telecom ParisTech (France), as well as Athens University of Economics and Business (Greece). Dr. Katsaros has experience in the areas of network function virtualization (NFV), multi-access edge computing (MEC) and software-defined networking (SDN) for 5G networks (5G PPP Projects: CHARISMA, VirtuWind, 5G-VINNI, 5G-VICTORI and 5G-HEART).
He also further holds extensive experience in information-centric networking (H2020 POINT and UMobile, FP7 PISRP and PURSUIT, UK EPSRC COMIT) and has also worked on IoT interoperability (H2020 symbIoTe), smart grids (FP7 C-DAX), inter-domain carrier services (FP7 ETICS) and multicast/broadcast service provision over cellular networks (FP6 B-BONE). Dr. Katsaros holds a BSc (2003) in Informatics, a MSc (2005) in Computer Science and a PhD (2010) in Computer Science, from AUEB (Greece). He has extensive experience in European Research procedures, spanning FP6, FP7, H2020 and Horizon Europe.
He also participates standardization activities in the context of ETSI, as well as IETF/IRTF. Dr. Katsaros has also published and presented his work in numerous academic conferences, workshops and peer reviewed journals, and has served as a reviewer for scientific journals and conferences. He has received scholarships and awards from international companies and Greek institutions.Currently, Dr. Katsaros has a leading technical coordination role in the 5G-PPP 5G-IANA project.
Dimitris Klonidis

Dr. Dimitrios Klonidis (B.Sc., M.Sc., Ph.D.) is the Head of the Network Softwarization & IoT Unit with UBITECH, working primarily on Research and Development topics related with application management and automated network control platform solutions over programmable infrastructures for 5G/6G networks. His group has currently active participation in more than 15 collaborative EU and national funded projects in the topics mentioned above. Dr. Dimitrios Klonidis has long expertise in the management of research and innovation project activities, maintaining the role of the technical coordinator and technical work package leader is several of them.
Dr. Klonidis was awarded his PhD degree in the field of Optical communications and networking from the University of Essex, UK in 2006, his MSc degree in Telecommunication and Information Systems from the same university and his first degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece in 1998.
In addition to the latest sound involvement and expertise in targeted fields of 5G/6G networking and cloud-edge computing, significant technical expertise has been gained from past research activities in the fields of optical network design, optimization and experimental performance evaluation for access, metro and core networks, including transmission, switching and network control aspects.
His research activities resulted in a total of over 160 publications in international Journals and conferences.
Gabriele Scivoletto

Gabriele Scivoletto received the italian Master’s Degree in Embedded Computing System from Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies in 2019, with a thesis on the design of a robust extended kalman filter with gaussian mixture input observations for stitching and reconstructing rolling stocks from a single camera video flow. After graduation, he started a collaboration at the Institute of Communication, Information and Perception Technologies (TeCIP institute, CNR, Pisa) where he worked on the design and integration of a complex embedded system for the Maintenance on Condition on railway scenario, in collaboration with Trenitalia SPA. Currently he works in the R&D division at Nextworks as system and software coordinator involved in Industry 4.0/5.0 (KnowlEdge) and 5G/B5G (5G-IANA, VITAL-5G, TrialsNet, Envelope) related projects.
Edoardo Bonetto

Edoardo Bonetto is a Telecommunication Engineer Ph.D. with experience on research activities in the telecommunication networks’ field. He received the Master of Science in Computer and Communication Networks Engineering (110 cum laude) in November 2009 from Politecnico di Torino. In February 2013 he received the PhD in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the same university. Between March and November 2013, he was a PostDoc Researcher within the Telecommunication Networks Group of the Politecnico di Torino. From December 2013 to November 2014, he was employed in Orange Labs as Research Engineer.
Since 2015 he has been working at LINKS Foundation. His current research topics focus on the evolution of mobile networks and their application to different vertical sectors such as Cooperative, Connected and Automated Mobility (CCAM). In particular, he is working on the architecture design and implementation of V2X communication solutions and safety applications for connected vehicles. Furthermore, he is involved in research, standardization, and development activities in the Multi-access Edge Computing framework.
Theodoros Rokkas

Theodoros Rokkas is the CTO of InCites Consulting and has more than 20 years of experience in working with networks operators, equipment vendors, regulators and public authorities on various projects in the field of techno-economics. Theodoros areas of expertise include business and cost modelling, technology roadmapping, government policy development, next generation access networks, network planning and regulation.
Theodoros has been serving as a member of the Optical Communications and Broadband Access laboratory at University of Athens since 2000 during which time he has participated in several research and innovation projects.
Theodoros holds a BSc in Physics, a MSc in Electronics and Radio-Communications and a PhD on the techno-economic evaluation of Next Generation Networks (NGN), all from the University of Athens. He has more than 40 publications in Journals, Conferences and 2 book chapters. He has participated in several H2020 R&D projects leading the activities related to exploitation and communication of project results.

Markus Wimmer (male) received his master’s degree in computer science in 1992 at the University of Passau. Markus has more than 25 years of experience in cellular radio technology – spanning from GSM, UMTS, LTE-A and 5G, including 6 years as active representant and contributor to the 3GPP specifications. Currently, he works in the System Design and Architecture department within Nokia Networks. His current projects are related to V2X communications in low latency mobile networks.
Peter Zidar

Peter Zidar, M.Sc. (male) has 29 years of experience in Telecommunications and IT. At Slovenian mobile operator Mobitel he worked as project manager at several deployment projects and as Head of Projects Sector. From 2004 to 2010 he was Head of Research Group. In 2011 Mobitel merged with Telekom Slovenije.
In Telekom Slovenije he worked as Head of Standardization Office. In March 2008 he was elected as Chairman of Operators Group in UMTS Forum (international organization), where he was also a member of the Steering Group. He represented Operators Group and Telekom Slovenije at around 40 different international conferences as chairperson, moderator, speaker, panellist and judge.
He coordinated several EU projects. In January 2016 he brought FP7 project eBADGE with 13 partners to successful conclusion as its main coordinator. He also led FP7 project SUNSEED with 9 partners from 6 EU countries. This project was finished with great success in April 2017 and it got the highest marks during the formal review in June 2017. From 2017 until 2021 he was head of Research projects department.
He is also author of more than 180 popular science articles published in Slovenian monthly magazine Life & Technology and other magazines and newspapers. In 2008 he published book about space exploration and in 2011 book about history of video games.
Richard Bishop

Richard Bishop has over 25 years of experience in the domain of intelligent, connected, and automated vehicles and how these interact with our transportation system and society, including automated cars, trucks, and robotaxis. He provides strategic consulting to automotive manufacturers, suppliers, and tech firms, as well as advising federal and state government agencies in the U.S. and abroad. Mr. Bishop serves as 2nd Vice Chair of the American Trucking Association’s Automated Driving Study Group.
He founded the International Task Force on Vehicle Highway Automation, which had its 25th Annual Meeting in 2022. Prior to establishing Bishop Consulting in 1997, Mr. Bishop was Program Manager for Vehicle-Highway Automation at the USDOT Federal Highway Administration.
He holds engineering degrees from Auburn University and Johns Hopkins University, plus an M.A. in Transformational Leadership and Social Change from Tai-Sophia Institute.

Eirini Liotou

Eirini Liotou holds a PhD degree from the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She obtained the MSc in Informatics and Telecommunications from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and the MSc in Communications and Signal Processing from the Imperial College of London.
She received the Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens in 2006. She has worked as a Software Engineer in Siemens AG and as a Senior Software Engineer in Siemens Enterprise Communications in the R&D department for the SME business sector. She has participated in various EU projects, national projects and COST actions. Her main research interests include Quality of Service and Quality of Experience management, radio resource management, adaptive video streaming, Federated Learning and Software-Defined Networking in mobile and wireless networks.
She is currently working as a Project Manager / Senior Researcher for EU Research Projects at the I-SENSE/ICCS group. Currently, she is Deputy Project Coordinator for the project 5G-IANA. She also serves as EU Technical Reviewer for the European Commission and as 5G-PPP Steering Board Deputy.

Matteo Andolfi is a Senior Software Engineer with experience on design and development activities. He received the Master degree on computer science in October 2013 from the University of Pisa and he started working as an analyst developer for several Italian companies with world-wide clients like IGT, Loropiana, Q8. His background includes several technologies, regarding Big Data like Pentaho, Tableau, Spark, Nifi and development of ETL procedures. Some of these regarding DevOps like Jenkins, SonarQube, Gitlab for continuous integration and deployment. He always kept up to date on using new technologies for developing and providing ad-hoc solution with complex requirements in different contexts.

Tomasz Mach holds PhD degree in mobile communications from the University of Surrey UK with twenty years of experience in various technical and leadership roles in the wireless industry. Those include 3G protocol software development, 4G small cells and SON architecture and systems engineering, technical marketing and pre-sales, research and mobile communications standards development including his work in various 3GPP, ETSI, 5GAA and O-RAN Alliance groups. Before joining Samsung in 2015, he worked at Orange, Motorola, Thales, Nokia, Blackberry and Cisco. Recently, he contributed to and coordinated various EU funded international 5G R&D activities including METIS-II, LOCUS and VERGE projects. He co-authored two books: ‘5G System Design: Architectural and Functional Considerations and Long Term Research’ and ‘Positioning and Location-based Analytics in 5G and Beyond’ and also authored many patent applications, standards contributions and research papers. Among others, his current interest includes beyond 5G systems and V2X.
