The 5G-IANA project is committed to promote and address gender issues. In this context, Deputy Project Coordinator Eirini Liotou from ICCS participated in the “4th Summit on Gender Equality in Computing”, held on June 16-17 in Aristotle University in Thessaloniki, Greece. This event aims at promoting gender-equal access to the computer-related scientific frontiers, as well as to present and share technical achievements and experiences in the computing field.

During this year’s event, the poster “Distributed Machine learning for Network Monitoring and predictive QoS in Automotive Applications” by 5G-IANA partners Konstantinos Katsaros, Eirini Liotou, Giorgos Drainakis, Amr Rizk and Nehal Baganal-Krishna was presented. Moreover, Eirini Liotou was a facilitator during the Workshop: “Becoming better together – learning through mentoring”, with the goal to provide mentoring advice to young students and professionals.
